Crosman 2250 'Frankengun' - The CR2250 began life as a .22 caliber carbine, but it is
so easy to work on, that it gets re-configured at will; carbine to
rifle, iron sights to scope, .22 to .177 caliber etc. (parts is
parts and Frankenstein's got nothing on this baby). In warm weather, it pushes .177 Crosman Premier heavy pellets (10.5gr) at
an average of 640 fps and the CP light pellets (7.9gr) at an average
of 704 fps. With the shorter, factory .22 caliber barrel it
pushes the 14.3gr Crosman Premier pellets at an average of 574
fps. Accuracy is
good. Trigger has been made tolerable. It is very light
weight and handy. Lots of fun, and effective for pest control
- especially those pesky squirrels that mock and laugh at you after
you break your broom trying to chase them off. Well, I don't have
that problem! This
. . . . . dispatches the problems very nicely.
And here it
is back in 14.5" barreled .22 cal configuration:
This one is . . . . . . . . currently performing
pest control duties at
another location (on loan to the in-laws with a squirrel problem).
Well, the in-laws no longer have a
squirrel problem, but they must still be enjoying this little beast.
